Day 2
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your Kilibeyond Adventure Safari guide will pick you up from your lodging. You will then embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, which takes approximately two and a half hours along well-maintained tarmac roads. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River that flows through it, serving as the sole water source for local wildlife during the dry season, often referred to as the ‘river of warthogs.’ Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, frequently spotted near the river, along with other wildlife such as giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals are often accompanied by various predators, including lions and leopards. Additionally, you will encounter the impressive and ancient Baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic area within the park, and following your game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation in Karatu.

Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will ascend into the cooler areas of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Hidden behind its steep volcanic walls lies an untouched wilderness featuring expansive savannahs, clusters of acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes and swamps. The Crater was formed approximately two to three million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and subsequently collapsed. It spans an area of 260 km². Renowned for its geological wonders, the Crater also serves as a natural reserve, hosting some of the highest concentrations of large mammals found anywhere in Africa. Once you descend into the Crater, you will encounter vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 species of birds. This location offers an excellent opportunity to observe the endangered black rhino. Subsequently, you will travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Serengeti, entering from the southern part of the park.

Day 4
Serengeti National Park to Karatu
Serengeti National Park to Karatu
The Serengeti is undeniably magnificent, renowned for its expansive grasslands that provide exceptional opportunities for wildlife observation. The region's climate and flora have remained relatively unchanged for millions of years. While it is home to a diverse array of wildlife, it is particularly celebrated for the annual Great Migration. Each year, immense herds of wildebeest, along with significant numbers of zebras and antelopes, traverse the landscape in search of fresh pastures. This migration occurs throughout the year; the key is knowing the optimal locations to witness it. The focus should be on identifying the 'best spots' to observe these animals during specific seasons. Beyond the stunning scenery, there is a strong likelihood of encountering predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. This experience is truly transformative. In the afternoon, you will begin your return journey to Karatu, hopefully discovering even more wonders along the way!

Day 5
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located 120 kilometers west of Arusha. This park, though small, boasts remarkable diversity. It is both compact—being one of the narrowest parks in Africa—and grand, with the Great Rift Escarpment rising majestically along Lake Manyara’s western edge. The park is named after its shallow, saline lake, which occupies a significant portion of the area, fluctuating between flooding and drying with the seasons, and serves as a habitat for thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. In the lush evergreen forest of the park, you may encounter baboons and elephants, and keep an eye out for the renowned tree-climbing lions that have gained fame across Africa. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park. After your game drive, you will bid farewell to your guide and be dropped off at your preferred location, such as Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport.
