Day 1

In the morning at 6am our guide will be at your lodge for pick up, after your breakfast. The drive from Entebbe to Mgahinga takes about 8-9 hours depending on the traffic.
On the way we will make stops for bathroom use, coffee to go, lunch and a stop at the Equator. The Uganda Equator crossing at Kayabwe, along the Kampala-Masaka highway, is a popular stop. Here, you can stand with one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and the other in the Southern Hemisphere. It's a great spot for photos, souvenir shopping, and even participating in water experiments that demonstrate the Coriolis effect. Later continue on the journey.

Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park is an incredible experience that allows visitors to encounter mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Located in southwestern Uganda, Mgahinga is part of the Virunga Mountains, which span Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking and Bantu Trail
After an Early morning breakfast, we head out to the trekking center for briefing. The Gorilla trekking activity allows you to track the Nyakagezi gorilla family, known for its multiple silverbacks. The trek begins early in the morning, guided by park experts who lead you through the park's lush forests and volcanic slopes. You'll spend an hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, an unforgettable experience. After the experience you return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon after lunch, we head out for The Batwa Trail, a cultural experience which introduces you to the Batwa people, the original inhabitants of the forest. Guided by Batwa elders, you'll learn about their ancient traditions, hunting techniques, and medicinal plants. The trail culminates at the sacred Ngarama Cave, where the Batwa perform traditional songs and dances, offering a glimpse into their rich heritage.
After Batwa visit we head back to the lodge dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and community visit
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and community visit
In the morning after a sleep in and a healthy breakfast you check out of the rooms, and we transfer to Lake Bunyonyi at your Lodge. The transfer from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to Lake Bunyonyi is a scenic journey through southwestern highlands. The drive takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions and stops along the way. You'll pass through lush landscapes, terraced hills, and small villages, offering plenty of opportunities for photography and cultural experiences.
Lake Bunyonyi, known as the "Place of Many Little Birds," is a serene destination perfect for relaxation after gorilla trekking. Once there, check-in your rooms, lunch and you will enjoy activities like canoeing, birdwatching, and exploring the lake's islands and a hike to have a view of lake bunyonyi islands. Later go back to the lodge dinner and overnight.

Day 4
Transfer to Entebbe/Kampala
Transfer to Entebbe/Kampala
In the morning after breakfast, you check out of the room head to the jeep to meet your guide for the transfer to Entebbe or Kampala to your lodge.
The drive from Mgahinga to Entebbe takes about 7-8 hours depending on the traffic, On the way we will make stops for bathroom use, coffee to go, lunch and a stop at the Equator.
