Walvis Bay Lagoon & salt refinery

We make our way to the Walvis Bay Lagoon which is home to an abundance of birdlife. It’s a site of significant value. The salt refinery is our next stop. Salt is one of the most important natural resources in the country.

Namib Naukluft National Park

The Namib Naukluft National Park is more than 49 000 km2 in size. Exploring the sand dunes near Sandwich Bay in a 4x4 vehicle is a highlight on any Namibia adventure.

On top of a 100-metre dune in Sandwich Lagoon, you’ll have a brilliant view of the blue ocean waters meeting the sandy brown dunes below. Now is the time to take some photos if you haven’t taken out your camera already.

Enjoy lunch on the dune or in a calm spot in the desert, depending on the wind conditions.

Return to Walvis Bay

We make our way back to Walvis Bay, looking for wildlife on our way back to the drop-off point.
