After breakfast, travel along the spectacular Garden Route to Tsitsikamma National Park. Explore its indigenous forests and rugged coastline, and walk across the famous Storms River suspension bridge for breathtaking views of the river gorge and Indian Ocean. Continue to Knysna, where you can admire the lagoon and iconic Knysna Heads. Enjoy time at the waterfront before settling in for the night.

Outside whale season, follow the alternative Garden Route and coastal itinerary, with an overnight stay in Mossel Bay.

Day 5
Hermanus - Betty's Bay - Cape Town

During whale-watching season (June–November): Enjoy a morning in Hermanus looking for southern right whales from the coast, with an optional boat-based whale-watching excursion subject to availability and sea conditions. Continue along the scenic coastline to Betty’s Bay to visit Stony Point Nature Reserve and see its African penguin colony before travelling to Cape Town. Cape Agulhas is omitted to allow more time for whale watching and a comfortable journey.
Outside whale-watching season: Travel to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Continue to Betty’s Bay to visit the African penguin colony at Stony Point Nature Reserve, then proceed to Cape Town.
