Day 1

Rise early for the best chance to spot wildlife as the bush awakens in Schotia Safaris Private Park, the most diverse park in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Join your group for the included four-hour game drive with your guide in search of some of the “Big Five” animals. If you're lucky, you may spot elephants, buffalo, lions, and more.

Afterward, you'll travel about 200 km to Jeffreys Bay (J'Bay), where you can spend your free time at the beach or choose between optional activities like surfing or beach horseback riding (cost not included). If no one booked optional activities in Jeffreys bay we will overnight sleep in Tsitsikama.

Day 2

After breakfast we'll begin heading inland. You can choose between an optional visit to the world’s highest bungee jumping bridge or experience the zip-line over the waterfalls in Tsitsikamma Forest (both at an additional cost). Alternatively, enjoy a suspension bridge hike time and explore Tsitsikamma National Park. After having some time to discover the park, continue your journey with a sunset boat cruise to the Head of Knysna's lagoon Total travel today is approximately 200 km (two hours).

Your day begins in the charming coastal town of Knysna, After a gentle stroll along the Knysna waterfront or a short stop at the famous Knysna Heads for breathtaking views of the ocean meeting the estuary, you’ll enjoy a relaxed introduction to this picturesque town, known for its vibrant craft markets and natural beauty. From here, the journey turns inland as you travel over scenic mountain passes toward Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world. In the afternoon, you’ll step into the fascinating world of these giant birds on an ostrich safari, learning about their history, unique adaptations, and importance to the local economy, with opportunities for close encounters and photo moments. The adventure continues at the world-renowned Cango Caves, a natural wonder of vast limestone chambers decorated with dramatic stalactites and stalagmites. Guided by expert cave narrators, you’ll explore the incredible underground formations that have taken millions of years to form.

Oudtshoorn, located in the Little Karoo, is also known as the "Ostrich Capital of the World." Before settling into your accommodations on a game farm in the Little Karoo, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting at a nearby winery. As the sun sets, take a tour of the ostrich farm and admire the views of the Swartberg and Outeniqua Mountain ranges.

Day 5

Oudtshoorn - Hermanus, Betty's bay

Today you’ll journey back along the scenic coastline, with a two-to-three-hour safari activity stop in the heart of the native bushveld. Continue with coastal line towards Cape Town to the most Southern African tip where Indian and Atlantic oceans meets Head Hermanus wher you have a chance to see whales from the land. Later a final stop at Betty's Bay for Africa penguins watching.

Our arrival back in Cape Town or Stellenbosch is expected between 8:00-10:00 pm. Travel time today is approximately 400km (six hours).
