Day 1

Our driver will pick you up from your city hotel to begin your journey Lake Naivasha. Your first stop will be at Hell’s Gate National Park, named for the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries. The park features spectacular scenery, including towering cliffs and stark rock towers, and is home to various wildlife species. You will then have the option to enjoy a boat ride safari on Lake Naivasha at an extra cost. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus and surrounded by forests of yellow-barked Acacia trees. The lake attracts a variety of wildlife including giraffes, buffalos, colobus monkeys, and large hippos. You will also visit Crescent Island, a magical place that offers unforgettable experiences, including the unique opportunity to take a nature walk among the animals without fear of harm. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 2

You will be picked up early in the morning and then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Known worldwide for its flamingos, the lake is alkaline and recognized as one of the natural wonders of the world. Lake Nakuru is also a rhino sanctuary now, home to over 45 black and 31 white rhinos, although the flamingos have always been the main attraction. At times, nearly two million flamingos may be present, forming a stunning deep pink band around the lake shore. Arrive in time for lunch at the hotel, then enjoy an afternoon game drive. The best time for animal viewing in the park is from June to March when there is little rainfall, as animals gather around the water holes, making them easier to spot in the late afternoon. Common animals in the park include flamingos, white rhinos, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and monkeys.

Depart early in the morning for Masai Mara National Reserve. It remains one of the few places on earth where wildlife still lives relatively undisturbed, in numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and attendant predators. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. You will spend the night at the camp.

Day 4

You will be taken on two game drives today: one in the morning before breakfast and another in the late afternoon. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times to spot animals, as they are most active during these periods. An early start is also needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is a phenomenal experience that will surely create lifelong memories. Animals in the Mara include hippos, elephants, zebras, crocodiles, cheetahs, and lions.

To enhance your experience, you may choose from optional activities offered at an extra cost. Visit a local Maasai village to meet the indigenous people and observe their traditional lifestyle and culture. You may also take a pre-dawn hot air balloon ride over the reserve as morning light breaks across the golden savannah. Your driver can help arrange either of these optional excursions.
