Masai Mara Exploration
After breakfast at 6:30 am, you will leave for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The search for great wild animals continues. Large herds of herbivores grazing on the plains, and cheetahs and leopards hiding in their locations. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. There are 95 species of mammals, amphibians, and reptiles, and over 400 bird species have been recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and for this reason, a visitor hardly misses seeing the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino).
At Masai Mara, you will have an opportunity to drive down to the Mara River, the site of the great migration when in season - July through October. The immense herds of wildebeest and zebra are a magnificent sight, matched only by the drama of the predators who lie in wait for them.
