Your Uganda wildlife adventure begins with a pickup in Entebbe by your professional safari guide. Journey southwest toward Lake Mburo National Park, making a featured stop at the iconic Kayabwe Equator crossing for photographs and demonstrations. Arrive at Lake Mburo in time for lunch at your lodge surrounded by nature. In the late afternoon, set off on an exciting savanna game drive across acacia-dotted landscapes. Spot large herds of Burchell’s zebras, impalas, topis, elands, and buffaloes before returning to your lodge for dinner and a restful night in the wild.

Experience the African bush on foot during an early morning guided nature walk with an armed park ranger in Lake Mburo. Get up close to zebras, girapses, and antelopes while learning about animal tracks and flora. After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to almost half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Travel through the breathtaking terraced hills and tea plantations of the Kigezi Highlands, arriving at your rainforest lodge in time for dinner, safari briefing, and rest before your trek.

Day 3

Mountain Gorilla Trekking And Community Walk
Have an early breakfast at 06h30 and transfer to the park headquarters with a packed lunch. You will be briefed about your expectations, and the dos and don’ts. At 08h00, you will be led into the forest in the company of the park rangers. Remember to carry your packed lunch and to take enough drinking water. You can also consider taking a walking stick or hiring a porter in case you have a slightly heavy backpack. While trekking, be vigilant to spot other forest inhabitants such as forest elephants and birds. Trekking may take longer than expected (between 2 and 6 hours), depending on how far the gorillas have moved. When you locate them, you have 1 hour to spend with them and take photos.
Return to the lodge and refresh. In the evening, you will visit the Batwa community living outside the park. They are the first forest people before eviction and gorilla tourism began. You will learn about their lifestyle through exhibitions, storytelling, and traditional dances.

Transfer To Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha Sector
Transfer To Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha Sector
Have breakfast at leisure and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha, the southern sector of the park. The Ishasha sector is known for the adaptive behavior of the lions climbing trees. Besides the tree-climbing lions, the sector has wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and many others. When you arrive, have lunch at the lodge and go for a late afternoon game drive where you will be able to see most of the mammal species and several bird species. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning Gamedrive And afternoon Boatride At The Kazinga Channel
Wake up to a refreshing cup of coffee at 06h00 and go for an early morning game drive. Drive to the open savannah on the Kasenyi track in the northern sector of the park. Kasenyi is known for the large concentration of big cats, lions, leopards, antelopes, elands, impalas, and defassa waterbucks. With luck, you will be able to spot all of them. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast. Refresh and have lunch and later go on an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where 2 lakes meet.
The Kazinga Channel has a large concentration of crocodiles, hippos, and elephants on the banks of the lake. It is also a habitat for various birds such as pink-backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, and African fish eagles among others. Cruising on the Kazinga Channel is one of the most eye-catching activities in the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Have a delicious breakfast and later head out for a morning game drive and crater lake drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park has quite a number of enormous crater lakes with eye-catching views for good photography. Have lunch at the lodge and exit the park to Kibale Forest National Park which is home to chimpanzees. It is a 3 to 4-hour scenic drive where you can see the Rwenzori Mountain ranges and tea plantations. You will reach the park in the evening and check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Gather at the Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a park ranger briefing before entering Kibale Forest for your chimpanzee tracking excursion. Follow experienced guides as they track habituated chimp troops through the rainforest, observing their lively social interactions, feeding, and calls in the high canopy. Spend a memorable hour in their presence. In the afternoon, explore the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a guided walk to spot red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, sitatungas, and colorful birds like the Great Blue Turaco before dinner at your lodge.

Departure
Departure
After a hearty breakfast, leave the park and drive back to Kampala via Mubende where you will see the beautiful, scenic views in the area. You will have an en-route lunch in Mubende and thereafter continue to Kampala, arriving in the evening. You will be dropped off at the hotel or airport. This is the end of the 8-day gorilla and wildlife tour.
