Nairobi-Amboseli National Park

You’ll be picked up in the morning from your Nairobi city hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport. Depart for Amboseli, a scenic 4 hour drive across the plains of southern Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in at your lodge. Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli—famous for large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active and Kilimanjaro’s snowy peak often reveals itself. Look out for lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and prolific birdlife near the swamps fed by underground springs. Return for breakfast, relax during the heat of the day, then head out for an afternoon drive to explore more of the park’s varied habitats. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli-Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast, check out and drive to Tsavo East National Park via Emali and the southern gate. This is Kenya’s largest national park, known for its red-dust-covered elephants and vast wilderness. Arrive in time for a late lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, go on a game drive to spot lions, elephants, hippos, and possibly elusive leopards. The landscape here is raw and dramatic, dotted with baobabs and ancient lava flows. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Tsavo East-Mombasa

Start your final day with an early morning game drive in Tsavo East, catching the wildlife in their most active hours as the golden light hits the savannah. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast. Then check out and drive to Voi SGR Train Station, arriving in time for your scheduled afternoon train to Mombasa.
