Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Your driver-guide collects you at your hotel or the airport while Nairobi is still waking up, and the city gives way to the wide-open Athi Plains as you head west. Along the route, traditional Maasai homesteads dot the landscape; your first sign that you're leaving the ordinary behind.
Arrive at the Mara in time for lunch, then head straight into your first game drive, scanning the golden grass for lion, elephant, and the reserve's famous resident herds. Return to Miti Mingi Eco Camp for dinner under a sky already thick with stars.

Masai Mara - Big Cats & the Great Migration tour
Wake to birdsong and a sky doing its best impression of a painting; orange, pink, gold, all at once. After breakfast at camp, choose your pace: an early, adventurous morning drive or a slower afternoon one, packed lunch either way, tracking lion, elephant, rhino, and, depending on season, the thunder of wildebeest on the move.
As the light fades, return to Miti Mingi Eco Camp, where dinner and shared stories under the stars close out one of the best wildlife days in Africa.

Day 4
Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park
Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park
An early breakfast sets you up for an extensive morning game drive through Lake Nakuru — no rushed hour here, but a proper exploration stretching toward midday, through a park packed with over 450 bird species alongside rhino, buffalo, and the striking Rothschild's giraffe found in only a handful of places on Earth.
Once you've soaked in every corner the park has to offer, exit through the gate and turn south toward Amboseli, with lunch enjoyed en route as the landscape shifts from Rift Valley greenery to the dry, dusty plains Kilimanjaro calls home.
Arrive at Amboseli Nyati Camp as evening settles in, in time for dinner and a well-earned overnight stay, with Africa's tallest mountain waiting, somewhere out there in the dark, for first light.

Day 5
Amboseli - Encounter Elephants & Kilimanjaro View
Amboseli - Encounter Elephants & Kilimanjaro View
Wake up to Mount Kilimanjaro doing what it does best, dominating the horizon, snow-capped and impossibly close, weather permitting.
After breakfast, head into the park for a full day built around Amboseli's single greatest claim to fame: some of the largest, most habituated elephant herds left on the continent, moving across the swamps in family groups that can number in the dozens.
Expect lion, hyena, wildebeest, buffalo, and warthog throughout the day, with a picnic lunch taken at a designated site in the middle of it all — Kilimanjaro as your backdrop, elephants as your company.
Beyond the game drive itself, embark on an optional Maasai village visit — a cultural stop at a local Maasai community, where centuries-old traditions continue in the shadow of the very wildlife you've been photographing all week.
Return to Amboseli Nyati Camp for dinner and your final night in this corner of Kenya, Kilimanjaro standing watch until morning.

Amboseli to Arusha, Tanzania
After breakfast, cross from Kenya into Tanzania via the Namanga border, trading Amboseli's dust for the green foothills around Arusha.
It's a travel day by design — a chance to rest, reset, and let the last five days of game drives settle in before Tanzania's parks take over the story. Overnight at the Charity Hotel, gateway to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

Day 7
Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Breakfast in Arusha, then the drive west through the Karatu highlands — coffee plantations giving way, slowly, to the endless horizon the Serengeti is famous for. Lunch en route, then a park check-in and straight into an afternoon game drive across an ecosystem built to support more life than almost anywhere on the continent.
This is where the Great Migration itself begins each year, just a few hundred kilometers from the Mara you left behind — no border gate connects the two parks directly, but the wildlife moves between them as if the line never existed.
Overnight at the public Seronera Campsite.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
An early breakfast fuels a full morning game drive through the Serengeti's core, with a real shot at all of the Big Five — lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino — while your guide fills in the details a checklist never captures.
Packed lunch keeps you fueled as the landscape shifts, and by afternoon you're descending toward the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most complete wildlife theaters on Earth.
Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite, within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, under a sky that makes the whole day feel earned.

Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire National Park
Breakfast early, then the descent into the crater floor itself — a self-contained world of grassland, forest, and soda lake packed into one collapsed volcanic caldera.
A six-hour game drive covers extraordinary ground, with a picnic lunch taken in the middle of arguably the densest wildlife concentration in Africa.
In the afternoon, exit the crater and continue to Fig Tree Lodge & Camp, where a warm meal and a peaceful night mark the close of Tanzania's most iconic single day.

Tarangire National Park to Arusha
Your last morning belongs to Tarangire — named for the river that keeps the park's wildlife alive through the dry season, and home to some of East Africa's largest elephant herds and its unmistakable giant baobab trees.
Picnic lunch in hand, keep an eye on the grass for hunting lions and the low branches for leopards taking a midday rest. As the afternoon winds down, the drive back to Arusha closes out ten days, five countries' worth of wildlife packed into two, and a trip you'll be telling stories about for years.
