Wake up to the sounds of Africa in Kigali and enjoy a delicious breakfast before meeting your private safari guide, who will take you on a scenic journey through Rwanda's stunning countryside. This part of your tailor-made Classic Rwanda Safari is a leisurely 5-hour drive that will allow you to take in the calming natural scenery and vibrant colors of the region.
Along the way, you'll make stops at local markets, visit the traditional palace in Nyanza, and explore the Botanical Gardens and cultural museum in Butare. As you pass through the rolling hills and lush green fields of tea, you'll catch glimpses of the unique wooden houses that surround Nyungwe Forest. Finally, you'll arrive at your lodge and check in.

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for the chimpanzee tracking activity briefing. Accompanied by a park ranger and guide, you'll set out on a thrilling adventure through the rainforest trails. In no time, you'll come across your designated chimpanzee troop, which you'll follow closely for the next hour.
As you shadow the chimpanzee group, you'll witness their playful antics, noisy chatter, and grooming sessions. They'll stop for snacks or naps, and your challenge will be to keep up with them, guided by your park guide.
You'll experience the Nyungwe forest from a whole new perspective with a walk on the 160-meter (525 ft.) high canopy walkway. As per the latest report by Lonely Planet, the canopy walkway has been named the world's best forest canopy walkway. So, let yourself go, shout at the top of your voice, spread your arms wide, and experience a sense of freedom that leaves you reinvigorated. Later return to the lodge to relax.

Today after your warm early morning breakfast, we will be transferred back to the park headquarters for briefing and start off your day golden monkey trekking in search of these primates in the jungle. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same trekking procedures and guidelines apply to golden monkey trekking though not so hectic like gorilla trekking. You will later return to the lodge for lunch return to the lodge relax.
later in the evening you will embark on the cultural tour to the Ibya Iwacu Cultural village to learn about the Rwanda traditions performed by the x-poachers as the way of giving back to the communities and empowering conservation initiatives.

En route to Kigali, you'll stop in Ruhengeri for a delicious lunch and take some time to appreciate the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The drive will take you through picturesque landscapes, with rolling hills, lush forests, and charming villages along the way.
