Arusha city to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, know for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Enjoy a thrilling game drive across the savannahs dotted with wildlife--lions, giraffes, zebra, and over 500 bird species. Have a Picnic lunch by the Tarangire River, where animals gather for a drink. In the evening, head to your lodge for dinner and stargazing.

The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park. It is the only source of water for the wild animals here during the dry season. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons.

Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater-karatu

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will enjoy game viewing and visit the famous Ngorongoro Crater. You may see the black rhino if you're lucky, as this is the best place to spot them. In the evening, you will drive to your reserved accommodation in Karatu town for dinner and overnight.

The crater is the world's largest caldera which was formed after an explosion that occurred approximately 2 to 3 million years ago. The crater floor is 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level. The area has around 30,000 animals and a great variety of birds.

Lake Manyara National Arusha-Zanzibar

After breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or lodge and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing and a picnic lunch. After the game drive, transfer to Arusha Airport from where you will fly to Zanzibar. On your arrival at Zanzibar Airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.

Lake Manyara National Park covers an area of only 330 sq km (127 sq miles), of which up to 200 sq km (77 sq miles) is made up of the lake when the water levels are high. Lake Manyara is an excellent place for bird watching and a good area to find elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, and maybe even a legendary tree-climbing lion! At some point during your game drive, you will get out of your vehicle at the hippo pool to stretch your legs and observe the hippos.
