1-Day Saadani Safari National Park

06:00 AM – Depart from Dar es Salaam or Bagamoyo
Your journey begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel or residence. Settle in for a scenic drive northward, passing local villages, palm groves, and open landscapes before reaching the park’s entrance.
09:30 AM – Arrival at Saadani National Park & Game Drive
Enter the park and begin your game drive through open savannah, acacia woodlands, and coastal thickets. Keep your eyes peeled for giraffes strolling across the plains, elephants grazing, and herds of buffaloes moving through the bush. With luck, you may spot lions resting in the shade or a leopard slinking through the trees. Birdwatchers will also enjoy the variety of coastal and inland bird species.
12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch by the Beach or River
Enjoy a picnic-style lunch at a scenic spot inside the park—either by the beachfront, where waves gently crash onto the shore, or near the banks of the Wami River.
