Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater Back to Zanziar City

Ngorongoro Crater Back to Zanziar City

The Ngorongoro Crater, often hailed as one of the natural wonders of the world, reveals its true magic during early morning game drives. As the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, it offers a breathtaking mosaic of grassland, forest, and wetland—each teeming with life. The crater's year-round water sources support a thriving ecosystem of over 25,000 large animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, and the endangered black rhino. Within this extraordinary landscape, the Maasai people continue their traditional way of life, herding cattle in harmony with the wildlife. Established as a conservation area in 1956 and later recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978, Ngorongoro stands as a unique jewel in Tanzania’s crown. After your unforgettable game drive, your guide will take you back to Arusha, where you can choose to catch a flight to Zanzibar or spend the night locally.
