This morning, you’ll have the chance to visit the magnificent Victoria Falls. Joined by a lodge guide, wander the scenic pathways that wind around the Falls and take in the powerful sight of the Zambezi River cascading into the Batonka Gorge below. Return to the lodge for a leisurely lunch and spend the afternoon unwinding by the swimming pool.
On another day, you can choose from a variety of inclusive lodge activities such as fishing trips, birdwatching excursions, village visits, or guided tours of Livingstone and the David Livingstone Museum. For those wanting even more adventure, the lodge can arrange helicopter or microlight flights over the Falls, bungee jumps, gorge swings, rhino tracking in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, or even a trip to the Zimbabwean side for a fresh perspective of this natural wonder.

Day 3-6
Travel to the Lower Zambezi

Start your day with breakfast on the terrace before flying north to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred through the park to Baines’ River Camp, your home for the next three nights. Once you've had time to settle in, head out on a game drive to get acquainted with the area—this park is known for its remarkable predator sightings and striking landscapes.
Over the following days, enjoy a variety of safari activities. Game drives are complemented by boat cruises along the Zambezi River, perfect for birdwatching, photography, or simply sipping sundowners as the day winds down. For the more adventurous, canoe safaris and guided walks offer a thrilling and intimate way to explore the park and its wildlife.
There’s also plenty of opportunity to relax and take in your surroundings. With its peaceful riverside setting, Baines’ River Camp offers breathtaking views across to Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe.

Day 7

After breakfast at camp, you’ll head out on a game drive en route to the airstrip for your flight to Mfuwe, the gateway to South Luangwa National Park.
On arrival, a guide will meet you and drive you into the park to Kafunta River Lodge, a charming property set on the Luangwa River’s floodplains, where you'll spend the next four nights. This afternoon, unwind and soak up the surroundings before heading out on a scenic afternoon game drive in this exceptional park.

Day 8-10

Kafunta River Lodge’s secluded setting offers a more private and immersive safari experience, far from the busier areas of the park. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to enjoy more than just game drives — guided bush walks, visits to a specialist photography hide, and a trip to the nearby Chipembele Wildlife Education Centre (just 20 minutes away) are all part of the experience.
Across the next few days, you’ll explore the rich wildlife of South Luangwa, known for its exceptional predator sightings — leopards are often spotted on evening drives. Herds of elephants and buffalo roam the plains, and you’ll likely encounter endemic species like puku antelopes. Birdlife is abundant, making binoculars a must.
When you’re not out exploring, Kafunta’s impressive facilities make relaxing just as memorable. Unwind by the pool with sweeping views of the floodplains, indulge in a spa treatment, or keep active in the lodge’s gym.

Return Home
Return Home
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Mfuwe Airport, with a couple of interesting stops along the way. First, visit Project Luangwa, a local charity supported by Kafunta that focuses on uplifting communities around the park. Then, drop by Mulberry Mongoose, a charming workshop where beautiful, handcrafted jewellery is made using materials from the bush.
From Mfuwe, you’ll catch a flight to Lusaka and connect onwards to your flight home.
