Your adventure kicks off with a private flight from Brazzaville to Mboko airstrip in Odzala-Kokoua National Park, departing at 1 pm on either a Monday or Thursday. The flight lasts around two hours.
Upon landing, you’ll be met by the Kamba team and taken on a 2–3-hour safari drive through scenic savanna and rainforest en route to Ngaga Lodge, your base for the next three nights. Settle in and enjoy a fireside gorilla tracking briefing in the evening to prepare for the days ahead.

Day 2-4
Gorilla Trekking Begins
Gorilla Trekking Begins
Begin your journey with an unforgettable gorilla trek near Ngaga Lodge. Guided by expert trackers, you’ll spend the morning searching for Western Lowland Gorillas—an awe-inspiring experience lasting 2–4 hours depending on their movements. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge or head out on a guided walk to spot more of the forest’s elusive wildlife.
The next day, set off on a second trek to see the gorillas again in their natural habitat. After lunch, choose between a forest walk or an optional visit to a nearby village for insight into local life. End the day with a sundowner in the forest.
On day four, enjoy a final walk through the forest before travelling two hours to Mboko Lodge. After lunch and settling in, take a peaceful kayaking safari along the Lekoli River, keeping an eye out for monkeys, forest elephants, and vibrant birdlife. Continue on foot to Lango Bai for sundowners. Spend the next two nights at Lango Lodge with guided activities, meals, and drinks included.

Today is dedicated to discovering the untouched landscapes surrounding Lango Lodge. Embark on a walking safari, tracing the paths of forest elephants through streams, clearings, and dense woodland.
As you explore the baï and the Lekoli River, keep an eye out for forest buffalo, green pigeons, and with some luck, elusive species like bongo or forest elephants. The distant calls of chimpanzees echo through the trees while your guide offers fascinating insights into the unique plants and wildlife of this remarkable ecosystem.

Day 6-7
Transfer to Mboko Lodge

Begin your day with an early morning walking safari as the forest stirs to life, followed by a wholesome breakfast at Lango Lodge. You'll then cross the wetlands on a raised wooden walkway and embark on a game drive transfer to Mboko Lodge, set where forest meets savanna. After lunch, opt for a peaceful forest walk or unwind on the river deck. Later, enjoy a scenic river cruise through the winding waterways. Settle in for the next two nights at Mboko Lodge, with all meals and guided activities included.
The following day, delve deeper into Odzala-Kokoua National Park’s diverse landscapes with your guide. Explore the rich riverbanks and forests in search of forest elephants, vibrant birdlife, and perhaps the shy bongo antelope. Whether walking, kayaking, or boating, you'll experience the Congo Basin's rich habitats up close. Cool off with a swim in a clear stream or simply relax on the deck, taking in the peaceful rhythm of the river.
