Transfer From Kigali Airport/Hotel to Volcanoes

Upon arrival, a Kyooma gorilla safaris representative will greet you and escort you to Volcanoes National Park, where you'll prepare for golden monkey trekking the following day. If time permits, take advantage of a brief city tour to explore Kigali's charm before departing.

Golden Monkey Trekking & cultural encounter

Start your day with an early breakfast, followed by a transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Attend a briefing before venturing into the forest to track golden monkeys, a highlight for many after gorilla trekking. Spend an hour with these stunning Albertine Rift endemics amidst bamboo forests. After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Begin your day with an early breakfast at the lodge, then drive to Volcanoes National Park's headquarters to meet your guides. After a briefing, embark on a thrilling trek to find mountain gorillas in their natural habitat - a true adventure highlight. The 2-6 hour journey takes you through high-altitude mountain forests, with the challenge varying depending on the gorillas' location and weather. Once you locate the gorillas, spend an hour observing these majestic creatures, learning about their families and personalities. After this unforgettable encounter, return to Kigali.
