Incredible experience on 2 day gorilla trek

Our experience with Kyooma for a 2 day Mountain Gorilla trek was exceptional! The entire experience was more than we could have hoped for, seeing a family of 10 gorillas up close was unforgettable. Highly recommend taking the 2 day option to visit the genocide memorial and enjoy the lodge and area, including the women's collective.

Mwije (office manager at Kyooma) was so friendly and responsive, planning was easy and seamless. Our guide Robert was knowledgeable and friendly and a great driver. The accommodation at Da Vinci Lodge was excellent - the food was terrific (we chose our menu for each meal and acccomodating a vegetarian diet was no problem) and enjoyed a warm fire in our room and hot water bottles in our beds. Everyone went out of their way to make it a comfortable and worry free trip from beginning to end. Very strongly recommend Kyooma!!

Communication with Kyooma was fast and easy. They sent helpful reminders leading up to our trip. We had a comfortable van for 4 of us and a smooth ride to Volcanoes National Park. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and made the trip very enjoyable.

Did a day hike from Kigali with Muhwezi as our driver and main point of connection. He was incredibly helpful throughout the journey, and I felt safe with him around! On the way back to Rwanda, we took a quick short at his favourite local diner for lunch and to the markets to experience local life. It was a pleasure to be in the company of such a caring presence.

Our gorilla trekking adventure in Uganda’s breathtaking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest was an absolutely unforgettable experience — thanks to the incredibly well-organized team behind it.

From start to finish, Eziryerl managed the logistics flawlessly. Every detail was handled with precision — permits, transfers, accommodation, timing . Her calm, organized approach ensured that we could just focus on enjoying the experience without a single worry.

Shever was our key point of connection throughout the journey. While he didn’t join us in the forest, he was always present at the right moments — checking in to ensure everything was going smoothly, offering guidance, and coordinating behind the scenes to make sure every leg of the trip flowed seamlessly. His presence made us feel genuinely cared for and supported throughout the journey.

The gorilla trek itself was beyond words — coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla family is a humbling, awe-inspiring experience. The local trekking team and park rangers were incredibly skilled and respectful of the wildlife, and the entire process was conducted with care for both the guests and the gorillas.

This company offers not just a trip, but a truly meaningful experience — respectful of nature, professionally organized, and warmly human.
