Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes NP & Ibya Iwacu Cultural Village, Connect to Bwindi in Uganda

After your breakfast, you will head straight to the Volcanoes National Park offices for a briefing on golden monkey trekking. The rangers will share with you information about the park, the creatures therein, the golden monkey troops, how to behave around Golden monkeys, and what to expect. Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park usually takes between 3 and 5 hours. They are easy to locate because of their vocal nature.

Their groups are also more dramatic compared to those of gorillas. Expect an hour full of action with the golden monkeys once you locate them. Take as many photos as you wish and then return to the accommodation. Return to the accommodation to have lunch. Later, you'll cross the border to Uganda, arriving in Bwindi in the evening to relax at the lodge in preparation for the ultimate gorilla trekking experience the following day.

In the afternoon, you'll take a scenic boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, known for its abundance of wildlife and birdlife. Mburo's Morning Walking Safari, Transfer to Entebbe to Catch Flight

You'll begin the day with a walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park, an excellent way to experience wildlife without the noise of a vehicle engine. Walking allows you to immerse yourself in nature, hearing the sounds of the wilderness and observing wildlife up close. You’re likely to encounter animals such as warthogs, topis, impalas, duikers, bushbucks, waterbucks, and zebras. The number and variety of animals can vary depending on the season and grazing conditions, as they tend to gather where the grass is lushest. Watching animals on foot is peaceful and a totally different experience from being on a game drive— zebras may come towards you to check out the strange “relative without stripes.”

You’ll return to the lodge for breakfast. Then, you'll transfer back to Entebbe, marking the conclusion of your tour. Your guide will drop you at your planned destination or transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
