Day 1

Your safari adventure kicks off with an early morning departure from Entebbe, heading north through the lush Ugandan countryside toward Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you'll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track wild rhinos on foot. This unique experience offers a rare opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures up close in their natural habitat.

After lunch, continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic drive through the park as you make your way to your lodge. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as baboons, antelopes, and various bird species along the way.

Settle in for the evening, surrounded by the natural beauty of the park, and prepare for an exciting day of game viewing ahead.

Day 2

Wake up to the sounds of the wild and begin your day with an early morning game drive across the northern savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. With your guide leading the way, you’ll explore areas rich in wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeest, oribis, and perhaps even the elusive leopard. Bird lovers will also delight in sightings of species like the Secretary Bird and Abyssinian Ground Hornbill.

After a relaxing lunch back at the lodge, the afternoon brings one of the park’s most iconic experiences — a boat safari along the Nile River. As you cruise upstream towards the base of the thundering Murchison Falls, keep your camera ready for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a wide variety of birdlife including the rare shoebill stork.

The boat will dock near the foot of the falls, where you’ll marvel at the Nile’s powerful surge through a narrow 7-meter gorge — a spectacular sight that gives the park its name. Return to the lodge for Dinner.

Day 3

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, take a short drive to visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River explodes through a narrow cleft in the rock, plunging 45 meters below with an incredible roar. Standing at the top offers a breathtaking view and a chance to truly feel the power of the falls — a must-see highlight of the park. (We do this if at all we did not visit the top of the falls the previous day)

From here, begin your scenic drive southwards to Kibale Forest National Park, known as the primate capital of the world. The journey takes you through traditional villages, tea plantations, and rolling hills — giving you a glimpse into Uganda’s rich countryside.

Enjoy a packed lunch or stop en route for a local meal before arriving in the Fort Portal region, nestled in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Upon arrival at your lodge near Kibale, take the evening to relax and prepare for tomorrow’s unforgettable chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Rise early for an exciting morning in the lush Kibale Forest, home to 13 species of primates and one of the best places in East Africa for chimpanzee trekking.
Once you find the chimpanzees, you’ll spend a magical hour observing them as they feed, play, groom, and swing effortlessly through the trees — an intimate and unforgettable wildlife encounter.

After lunch, transfer south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most iconic safari destinations. The drive offers scenic views of crater lakes, volcanic landscapes, and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains in the distance.

Upon arrival, head straight to the Kazinga Channel for a relaxing boat safari. This natural waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is famous for its high concentration of hippos, basking crocodiles, elephants at the water’s edge, and abundant birdlife including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. You'll then be assigned to a small group and guided by expert rangers deep into the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can range from a couple of hours to half a day, depending on the location of the gorillas, but the reward is priceless — spending a magical hour in the presence of mountain gorillas, observing their behavior up close as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, depart for the scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest and most picturesque lake, dotted with 29 islands and surrounded by terraced hills. Known as "the place of little birds," Lake Bunyonyi offers a peaceful atmosphere to relax and reflect on your incredible journey.

Check in to your lodge by the lakeside and enjoy a quiet evening with stunning views, a warm meal, and maybe even a paddle on the lake if time allows.

Day 7

Wake up to a peaceful morning by Lake Bunyonyi, with time to soak in the serenity of the lake and surrounding hills. After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back toward central Uganda, with a stop at Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest savannah park in the country but one packed with charm and wildlife.

Enjoy a short game drive or walking safari in Lake Mburo, where you might spot zebras, impalas, elands, topis, buffaloes, and if you're lucky, even leopards. This is also one of the few national parks in Uganda where walking safaris are permitted — a great chance to stretch your legs and connect with the bush up close.

After lunch exit the park, continue your drive back to Entebbe or Kampala, arriving in the evening. You'll pass the Equator line, where you can stop for photos, coffee, and souvenirs — the perfect final memory of your adventure.

Depending on your schedule, you'll be dropped off at your hotel or directly at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
