Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
After a safari briefing in the morning, you will begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, which is about a two-hour drive. The park is home to giant baobab trees and African elephants, with the bush savannah and seasonal marshes adding to the natural beauty. Tarangire is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests, which are often closely followed by a range of predators, including lions. Leopards are occasionally seen, but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari jeep, you will be able to take in the landscape and observe the animals. In the late afternoon, you will leave the park and drive to the lodge for rest and a beautiful overnight stay.

After having enjoyed the scenery, you will slowly return with your guide to Materuni village, where you will experience a traditional Chagga lunch. You will also have the opportunity to taste our local banana beer—definitely not to be missed! Next, you’ll learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted, and further processed. You will grind the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dance and is a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture.
