Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha, a peaceful town nestled beneath the twin peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the lodge or choose to explore Arusha town with a visit to the local markets or the Cultural Heritage Centre. Lunch will be served at the lodge if you arrive earlier in the day. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a restful overnight stay at your lodge, preparing for the safari adventure ahead

Day 2

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park, located along the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Known for its diverse landscapes, this compact park offers a lush groundwater forest, open grassy plains, and the alkaline lake itself. During your game drive, you may encounter tree-climbing lions, large elephant families, hippos, and flocks of flamingos lining the lake’s edge. Lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic site within the park, surrounded by nature. In the afternoon, you can choose to take part in a treetop canopy walk or visit the nearby Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural experience before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight near the park.

Into the Wild Journey to the Heart of the Serengeti

Today you leave Lake Manyara and begin the scenic journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands on your way to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As you drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you'll pass traditional Maasai villages and perhaps see wildlife along the way. After entering Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate, you’ll enjoy your lunch at the picnic area overlooking the vast plains. Once in the Central Serengeti, known as the Seronera region, you’ll begin an afternoon game drive in one of the richest wildlife areas of the park. Expect to see lions lounging on kopjes, herds of wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, and, with luck, elusive leopards in the acacia trees. In the evening, settle into your tented camp for dinner and a night under the stars.

After an early breakfast, your adventure continues as you head north toward the remote and spectacular region of Kogatende in the Northern Serengeti. This area is best known for its dramatic Mara River crossings during the Great Migration season (typically July to October), when wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters. En route, you'll enjoy incredible wildlife viewing through rolling hills and grasslands. Lunch will be served at a shaded picnic spot near the Mara River. Spend the afternoon scanning the riverbanks for wildlife action, including massive herds, elephants, predators, and birds of prey. Return to your northern Serengeti camp in time for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by untouched wilderness.

Begin with a truly unforgettable experience—a hot air balloon safari over the Northern Serengeti (optional and pre-booked). As the sun rises over the endless plains, float silently above herds of wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, and possibly predators returning from their night hunt. Upon landing, celebrate with a traditional champagne bush breakfast.

After this magical morning, journey south to Central Serengeti, known for lions, cheetahs, and large herbivores moving between grazing grounds. Your guide will select the best routes for wildlife viewing, ensuring scenic and photographic opportunities.

Descend into one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife sanctuaries.
This morning you depart the Serengeti and head back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the crater’s rim, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. This massive, unbroken volcanic caldera is home to over 25,000 animals including rhinos, lions, buffalo, elephants, and abundant birdlife. The short-grass plains, lakes, and marshes provide excellent opportunities for wildlife photography and sightings of the elusive Big Five. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic site beside a hippo-filled lake. After your full day of game viewing inside the crater, you’ll ascend to the crater rim for dinner and overnight at a lodge with sweeping views into the caldera.

Today you return to Arusha and head into Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. Here, you have the unique chance to take a guided walking safari with an armed ranger, bringing you close to giraffes, warthogs, and zebra on foot. Alternatively, you may choose to go canoeing on the Momella Lakes, where you’ll glide past flocks of flamingos and spot hippos from the water. On this day, you will journey to the scenic foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro for a cultural and nature-rich experience. A visit to the Materuni or Marangu area introduces you to the Chagga people and their vibrant culture. You'll take a short hike through lush coffee and banana farms to the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls, and visit a local coffee farm to learn traditional roasting and brewing techniques — with a chance to brew your own cup. Lunch will be a warm home-cooked meal shared with the local community or enjoyed at a picnic site near the waterfalls. In the afternoon, you can visit the Kilimanjaro National Park gate to learn about mountain climbing routes and local traditions. You’ll return to Moshi in the evening for a special farewell dinner and overnight stay.
