Day 2

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your guide at the lodge around 7:30 am for a guided game drive in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts diverse wildlife, especially during the dry season. After breakfast at the lodge, you will meet your guide at 8:00 am and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. Enjoy a hot lunch served inside the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. Lake Manyara National Park is a scenic gem, known for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from lush groundwater forests and acacia woodlands to open savannahs and the alkaline lake. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and a rich variety of birdlife, including thousands of flamingos, pelicans, and storks along the lakeshore. Elephants, hippos, giraffes, and zebras are also commonly seen. After your safari experience, you'll drive back to your lodge or continue with your scheduled itinerary.

After breakfast at the lodge, you'll meet your guide at 8:00 am and begin your journey to the Central Serengeti, traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro Crater highlands. The drive from Karatu to the heart of the Serengeti takes approximately four hours, including a game drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arriving in Central Serengeti by midday, you'll enjoy a hot lunch in the bush before heading out for an afternoon game drive.

The Central Serengeti is renowned for its abundant wildlife and classic savannah landscapes. It's one of the best areas in the park for year-round game viewing and is home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and vast herds of herbivores. The Seronera River Valley, at the heart of Central Serengeti, attracts a wide range of animals, making it a prime location for predator sightings.

After an early breakfast at your lodge in the Central Serengeti, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. Upon arrival, you’ll descend into the crater for a full-day game drive among its diverse landscapes.

The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. It offers an unparalleled concentration of wildlife, including all members of the “Big Five”—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—within its 600-meter-deep walls. The crater’s floor features open savannah, acacia woodlands, swamps, and the seasonal Lake Magadi, attracting thousands of animals throughout the year.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, surrounded by stunning views and wildlife. After your game drive, you will ascend the crater and continue to Karatu, where you’ll check in to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
