Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Moshi or a designated meeting point. After a scenic drive through local villages and farmlands to the Nalemoru Gate (1,950 m), you'll complete park registration and meet your experienced mountain team. The trek begins gently, winding through cultivated fields and into a forested area rich with wildlife look out for black-and-white colobus monkeys.
The trail gradually ascends to Simba Camp (2,625 m), located in the moorland zone with beautiful views of Kenya's plains to the north. Dinner is served at camp, followed by a briefing for the next day’s hike.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast at Simba Camp (2,625 m), the trek continues with a steady ascent through moorland vegetation, offering panoramic views of the eastern ice fields and Mawenzi Peak in the distance. The trail climbs gently, allowing time to adjust to the increasing altitude. You’ll pass through heather and rocky terrain, with occasional sightings of alpine flora and unique birds native to Kilimanjaro. Today’s hike is shorter to allow for acclimatization, ending at Second Cave Camp (3,450 m), nestled beneath the looming presence of Mawenzi.
Hot lunch is served at the camp, followed by a restful afternoon and an optional short acclimatization walk 'for an extra cost' if arranged in advance. Dinner is served in the evening as you settle in for the night under the stars.

Today’s trek offers a noticeable change in scenery and a gradual gain in elevation. After a hearty breakfast at Second Cave Camp, you begin your hike toward Mawenzi Tarn Camp, traversing through open moorlands that offer expansive views of the surrounding wilderness. As you ascend, the landscape becomes more rugged, and the iconic peaks of Mawenzi begin to reveal themselves, providing excellent photo opportunities. Along the way, enjoy short breaks while your guide shares insights about the flora, fauna, and volcanic history of the region.
Arriving at Mawenzi Tarn Camp, located in a sheltered valley with spectacular views of Mawenzi, you’ll have time to rest, rehydrate, and soak in the tranquil mountain atmosphere before dinner and overnight camping.

Today’s trek takes you on a steady ascent through rugged alpine terrain toward Mawenzi Tarn, nestled beneath the towering spires of Mawenzi Peak. The trail is scenic yet moderate, allowing time to acclimatize while enjoying the beauty of Kilimanjaro’s eastern slopes. Upon arrival at Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,300m), you’ll be surrounded by dramatic cliffs and a glacial tarn reflecting the sky above one of the most picturesque campsites on the mountain.
In the afternoon, an optional acclimatization hike is available for those who want to further prepare for higher elevations (optional for no extra cost). Dinner and overnight at the camp beneath the stars.

Today’s journey takes you across the lunar-like saddle that stretches between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. The terrain becomes drier and more barren as you gain altitude, offering wide, open views of the alpine desert. The hike is steady and gradual but becomes more challenging due to the increasing altitude. You’ll arrive at Kibo Hut (4,700 m) by mid-afternoon, where you’ll rest and prepare for the summit attempt later tonight. Your guide will provide a full briefing and safety check.
After an early dinner, you’ll have time to relax and sleep before the midnight summit push begins. This is a crucial acclimatization stage before your final ascent to Uhuru Peak.

Day 6

This day is the pinnacle of your Kilimanjaro adventure. You’ll begin your ascent to the summit of Uhuru Peak in the early hours of the morning, aiming to reach the top by sunrise. The climb is physically demanding, with steep terrain and cold temperatures, but the reward is immense—standing on the highest point in Africa, gazing over vast, pristine wilderness. After a brief celebration and taking in the panoramic views, you’ll descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down the mountain.
The descent is long but steady as you make your way to Horombo Hut, where you’ll rest for the night. It’s a day of physical challenge, mental resilience, and the achievement of a lifetime.

Day 7

After a hearty breakfast at Horombo Hut, you'll begin the descent to Marangu Gate, marking the end of your epic Kilimanjaro trek. As you descend, the landscape transitions from alpine desert to lush rainforests, providing a final opportunity to take in the mountain's beauty. The trail is well-maintained, making the descent smooth and enjoyable. Upon reaching Marangu Gate, you will sign out and receive your completion certificates. From here, the transfer will take you back to your hotel in Moshi, where you can relax and reflect on your unforgettable journey.
The transfer to the hotel is included in your itinerary, so no additional arrangements are needed for your return. Optional activities in Moshi can be arranged for an extra cost.
