Ngorongoro Crater & flight back to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you'll make your way toward one of the most extraordinary places on Earth, the Ngorongoro Crater.

At around 06:30 AM, you’ll descend to the breathtaking crater floor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural sanctuary unlike anywhere else in Africa. Spanning 260 square kilometres, it shelters one of the continent’s highest concentrations of wildlife, including the Big Five and rare black rhino. With lions on the grasslands, elephants in the morning mist, and thousands of flamingos igniting the lakeshore in a blaze of pink, you’ll see why this is a true safari essential. Lunch inside the crater is not just a meal, but a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

In the early afternoon, you'll ascend the crater rim and drive to Arusha Airport for your scenic flight back to Zanzibar. As the Tanzanian highlands fade beneath you and the Indian Ocean comes back into view, you'll return to the island carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
