Your adventure begins as your private guide meets you at Kigali International Airport. After a warm welcome, you’ll have the option to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a poignant site dedicated to the victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi.
Following your visit, you'll embark on a scenic drive northwest through lush hills and vibrant market towns, taking approximately 2.5 hours to reach the stunning Volcanoes National Park.

Day 4

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge before proceeding to the ranger station for a briefing on gorilla trekking and best practices during your encounter.
Accompanied by a senior ranger guide, you will trek into the dense forest in search of a family of mountain gorillas. The hike may vary in difficulty depending on the location of the gorillas, but it's a rewarding experience. Once located, you’ll have an hour to observe these incredible creatures from a safe distance of approximately 10 meters, making for unforgettable photographic opportunities.

Day 5

After an early breakfast, you’ll set off on a morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, a prime location for observing predators. You’ll have excellent chances to spot animals like jackals, bushbucks, forest hogs, buffalo, and elephants.
In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat cruise which is optional on the Kazinga Channel. This memorable experience allows for close-up views of the diverse wildlife and birdlife that flock to the channel to drink. After the cruise, you will embark on an evening game drive before returning to your lodge for the night.
