From Wilson Airport Nairobi – Arusha – Ndutu ( Southern Serengeti NP)

After landing at Arusha Airport from Wilson Airport, Nairobi, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the Bavuma Wild Quest team and begin your journey into the Southern Serengeti. A scenic drive across open plains and volcanic landscapes leads straight into your first game drive.

The Ndutu region, within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, is a highlight of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. From December to April, it becomes the heart of the great migration calving season, when thousands of wildebeest give birth on short-grass plains. This season is defined by new life, movement, and dramatic wildlife action.

Ndutu is famous for its cinematic wildlife scenes, as newborns attract predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards. Elephant herds, zebra groups, and abundant birdlife gather around Lake Ndutu, whose alkaline waters support wildlife year-round. With open terrain and high animal density, Southern Serengeti delivers raw, emotional, and unforgettable safari experiences.
