Today you drive farther north toward the remote and beautiful Northern Serengeti, home to dramatic landscapes and seasonal wildlife movements. Depending on the migration’s location, your guide will position you in areas where wildebeest and zebras are expected to gather. After breakfast, enjoy a final morning of wildlife viewing in the Serengeti. You’ll have the opportunity to spot any animals you may have missed before beginning the scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your camp on the crater rim or nearby for dinner and rest in the cool highland air.

Wake up early for a spectacular descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden.” Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, home to lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, ascend the crater wall and return to your lodge for a calm evening ahead of the next day’s cultural experience.

Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience – Return to Arusha
This morning, head to Lake Eyasi, a cultural highlight of the region. Meet the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania, and learn about their daily traditions. Then visit the Datoga blacksmiths and gain insight into their metal-working heritage. Before departing, enjoy a guided bird-watching walk near the lakeshore. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha and settle into your hotel for the night.
