Serengeti NP

After breakfast you will leave Karatu with picnic lunch at 8am and drive through the cooler highland
region towards the Serengeti National park for 6 hours. The world-renowned Serengeti National Park,
with its diverse landscape ranging from grass plains and dry Savannah to marshy woodlands, is the
stamping ground of many carnivorous predators and their prey. The park is home to the largest animal
migration in the world you will be able to witness this spectacular event unfold. The herds of wildebeest
and zebras journey in the short rainy season of November and December from the hills in the north to
the southern plains before returning to the north during the longer rainy season of April to June.

Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast with picnic lunch depart to Ngorongoro for 3 hours, upon arrival descend into the crater
floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After the game
drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful Hippo Lake. After lunch, we will have
time for a short game drive and then ascend the crater and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards
Karatu for dinner and overnight at Marera lodge.
