You will then visit the Gishora Drum Sanctuary, where traditional Burundian drumming is preserved and performed. The drummers, dressed in ceremonial attire, demonstrate the unique rhythms and movements that are part of a sacred tradition.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Gombe Stream National Park

After an early breakfast, you will begin your trek into the forested hills of Gombe, accompanied by a park ranger. The goal of the day is to observe the park’s famous chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Gombe is known for being the site of Jane Goodall’s pioneering primate research, and the chimpanzees here are habituated to human presence. The trek can be moderately strenuous, depending on where the chimpanzees are located. In the afternoon, you may opt to visit Kakombe Waterfalls or enjoy a swim in Lake Tanganyika.
