Day 1
Nairobi Maasai Mara
Nairobi Maasai Mara
Set off early in the morning for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. This breathtaking reserve remains one of the last places on Earth where wildlife continues to roam freely in large numbers, just as they did centuries ago. As the northern extension of the expansive Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is best known for hosting the Great Migration — a dramatic seasonal movement of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and the predators that follow them. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, then head out for an afternoon game drive to explore the stunning landscapes and begin your wildlife adventure.

Cheetahs here are so accustomed to vehicles that they may use them for shade or vantage points to spot prey. Bird lovers will be thrilled by nearly 500 recorded species, including 16 types of eagles, various hawks, falcons, vultures, storks, bustards, and colorful sunbirds.

Its alkaline waters have earned it a spot as one of the natural wonders of the world. The park is now a sanctuary for rhinos, home to over 40 black rhinos and 60 white rhinos, making it a crucial conservation site. However, the flamingos remain the star attraction, with up to two million of these vibrant birds sometimes flocking to the lake, creating a breathtaking sight of deep pink along the shore.
