Pick-up, Kigali City Tour and Drive to Volcanoes National Park

A Lion Safaris English or French-speaking driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel, residence or from the airport. You will then go on a Kigali city tour, where you will have the chance to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial site and the Kimironko local market. After lunch, you will drive to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at your lodge.

Trekking Mountain Gorillas and Return to the Lodge

Early in the morning, after breakfast and with your packed lunch, your driver-guide will collect you from the lodge and take you to the park headquarters. You will receive a briefing on how to behave when meeting mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will then proceed to trek the gorillas.

After this remarkable experience, your driver-guide will return you to the lodge for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo with your driver-guide. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
