You'll begin your safari with a morning transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu. You'll enjoy stunning aerial views as the landscape shifts from Nairobi’s highlands to the dramatic, arid expanse of northern Kenya. Upon landing at Samburu Airstrip, you’ll be met by your driver-guide and transferred to your lodge with a game drive en route, spotting wildlife as soon as you touch down.

You'll arrive at camp in time for lunch and relaxation, followed by an afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where elephants gather to drink and the first sightings of the Samburu Special Five await. You will return to your lodge for sundowners and dinner under the stars.

You'll wake up early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to spot predators heading back to cover and elephants moving toward the Ewaso Nyiro River. You'll explore the contrasting landscapes of Samburu National Reserve and Kalama Conservancy, home to the Samburu Special Five and dramatic rocky outcrops overlooking vast plains.

You'll return to camp for breakfast and relaxation, or choose a bush breakfast in the wild. After a leisurely afternoon at the lodge, you'll head out again for an evening game drive in Kalama, where sightings feel more exclusive away from crowds. After dinner, you will embark on a night game drive within the conservancy, with a chance to spot bat-eared foxes, aardwolves, genets, and leopards beginning their nocturnal patrols. You'll end the day under the star-filled Samburu skies.

You'll enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, with an optional short morning game drive or nature walk, depending on your flight schedule. After check-out, you will transfer to the Samburu airstrip with wildlife viewing en route. You'll board your scheduled flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, taking in final aerial views of the Samburu landscape fading into the green highlands.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your hotel, marking the end of your Samburu fly-in adventure.
