Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara

Nairobi to Masai Mara

You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport and proceed to Masai Mara. You will pass via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you will have a stopover of 10 to 15 minutes. Lunch will be at the camp in Masai Mara.

In the afternoon, after you check in, depart for a sunset game-viewing drive in the Mara Reserve (4 to 6 pm). Return to the camp for a buffet dinner. Then, you have time to rest. The tents have a toilet, a shower, a bed, linen and mosquito nets. Electricity is provided from 6:00 to 10:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 am.

The Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourist destination in Kenya. It is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.

Day 2

Game Drive in Masai Mara

At around 7:00 am, after breakfast, you will leave for a full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five and the annual wildebeest migration, which involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss spotting the Big Five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration, a spectacular event only seen in the Masai Mara, is the Seventh Wonder of the World.

We will provide a picnic lunch in the park at midday. You will visit the site of the yearly wildebeest migration and see the resident crocodiles and hippos at the banks of the Mara River. Then, continue with the game drive and explore the beauty of the reserve until evening.

Day 3

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

You will have breakfast at the camp/lodge, check out from 8:00 am, and then drive to Nakuru. On this day, you have an optional visit to the Maasai village in the Masai Mara before leaving. The village visit costs USD 20 per person (paid in cash at the village). Here, you will get to see the lifestyle of the local tribe and learn more about their culture. We will offer lunch on the way at a traveler’s motel.

Upon arrival in Nakuru, check in at your hotel and rest. Since we will not have a game drive on this day, you can relax and either swim in the pool or take a walk around your hotel.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

You will have an early breakfast, check out and depart by 7 am to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive. It’s a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos, which form part of the Big Five animals. There is also a possibility of seeing the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 to 4 hours, after which you will enjoy game viewing on your way out.

The ecosystem comprises the lake, surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands. You will have lunch at a traveler’s motel in Naivasha. After lunch, we head to Lake Naivasha for a 1-hour boat ride. While on the boat ride, enjoy bird watching, see eagles feeding, and view the pelicans and hippos. Once your boat ride comes to an end, return to the dock.

On this day, you can opt to add a visit to Crescent Island at an extra cost of USD 35 per person or 2 hours of horse riding at Sanctuary Farm at an extra cost of USD 70 per person.

Day 5

Hell's Gate then to Amboseli Ntional Park

After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel by 7:00 am to proceed to Hell's Gate National Park, where you will start the biking safari. Experience a guided tour as you watch different animal species like zebras, buffalos, giraffes, and antelopes, among others, as you bike.

Have a guided walk in the gorge, where you can visit the gorges inside the park. Gorges are small, thin depressions of land mass where you can walk underneath. Some areas have formed caves where you can walk through.

After the tour, return the bikes to the gate. If you can not bike, you can explore the park on foot or by car.

Then, you will drive to the Naivasha Kifaru Restaurant or the Mai Mahiu hotel for lunch. You will drive to Amboseli and arrive in the evening. Check in at the lodge, swim and relax. The following day, you will go on a game drive.

Game drive in Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a full day in the park with a packed lunch in search of its popular residents, including well-known predators and their prey, such as zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and hippo. With a view of Mount Kilimanjaro, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Amboseli National Park is famous for its scenery, which features a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro dominating the landscape and open plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Observation Hill. During the game drives, several stops for bathroom breaks are available.

Return to the hotel for breakfast, check out with all your luggage, and drive to Nairobi. On arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport. This marks the end of the tour.
