Day 1

On arrival in Madagascar, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Ivato International Airport. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Antananarivo, where you will check in and rest to recover from jet lag.
Locals usually refer to the city as Tana. During French colonial times, it was called Tananarive. Whatever you call it, Antananarivo—Madagascar's bustling highland capital—is an enjoyable and welcoming city, dotted with fascinating historic sites, beautiful green spaces, and a great selection of bistros, cafes, and bars.

Day 2
Antananarivo - Andasibe-Mantadia National Park

After breakfast, you will leave the city behind and head east through green hills and rice fields to reach Andasibe.
In the afternoon, visit the Vakona Reserve, where you’ll have the chance to meet lemurs in a private sanctuary and observe crocodiles and endemic birds.
Welcome to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park! This is one of the most rewarding destinations for viewing a wide variety of lemurs in the wild. There’s no better place to seek out the show-stealing indri, a striking and critically endangered lemur known for its unique wailing call.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will be driven to Manambato, then take a boat along the Pangalanes Canal to reach the peaceful Ankanin’ny Nofy (The Nest of Dreams).
After dinner, you’ll head into the forest for a nocturnal walk in the Palmarium to seek out the rare and mysterious aye-aye lemur. There’s no better place than the Palmarium Reserve to see a wide variety of Madagascar’s most charismatic forest lemurs.
Around a dozen different lemur species have been introduced to this 50-hectare private reserve on the shore of Lake Ampitabe. It's a real delight to watch these charming creatures frolic in the trees and scamper around the restaurant. A bonus is that the Palmarium Reserve can only be reached by boat, offering a chance to experience the remote and atmospheric Pangalanes, the world’s longest artificial canal.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will spend the morning exploring the Palmarium Reserve, home to several species of freely roaming lemurs, as well as unique plant species found only in this region.
In the afternoon, return by boat and car to Andasibe for a relaxed evening. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 5
Andasibe-Mantadia National Park - Analamazaotra Park - Antananarivo

After breakfast, set off for a guided walk in Analamazaotra National Park. Analamazaotra is the section of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park where it is easiest to see the indri, a large and highly sought-after black-and-white lemur, and other endemic wildlife.
After lunch, drive back to Antananarivo for the night. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 6

After breakfast, you will immerse yourself in Malagasy culture with a curated cultural day. Visit the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga or local artisan workshops, meet musicians or cooks, and taste local street food before bidding a warm and meaningful farewell to the island. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ivato International Airport for your scheduled flight to Kenya. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi, where you will check in and rest. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 8
Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival in the afternoon, you’ll visit a local Maasai village for a cultural tour, where you will learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local people. After the cultural encounter, you will head out for an evening game drive.
Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the best places in Kenya to spot wildlife. Big cats—lions, leopards, and cheetahs—along with elephants are among the highlights. You’re also likely to see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and impalas.
Don’t forget your binoculars as over 500 bird species have been recorded here. The reserve is also known for its beautiful savannah landscapes and scattered acacia trees.

Day 9

After breakfast, if you wish to go on a balloon safari, it can be arranged in the early morning before heading out for a full-day game drive with packed lunches. You will explore the park in search of its well-known predators and their prey, including zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, and other animal species.
The Masai Mara is home to one of nature’s most spectacular events: the annual Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture.
Optional Activity: A balloon safari can be arranged for $485 USD per person early in the morning before proceeding with the day’s normal program.

Day 10

Nairobi
After a delightful breakfast, you will have a morning game drive, then be driven to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your scheduled flight home.
It’s a pity it must end, but this is where your safari comes to a close. We’re sure you will return home with many exciting and happy memories, and we hope you will join us again on safari in the future.
