Arrival in Jima and Transfer to Chebera Churchura National Park

Upon arrival at Addis Ababa International Airport, you will be transferred to the domestic terminal for your flight to Jimma, located in the southwest of Ethiopia. After arriving in Jimma, a vehicle will be ready to take you on a scenic drive to Chebera-Churchura National Park. This journey will allow you to appreciate the beautiful landscape of the southwestern highlands. Once you reach the park, you will have time to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the natural surroundings, including a stunning sunset over the park.

Wildlife Exploration in Chebere churchura Park

After an early breakfast, we set off on an exciting game drive within Chebera-Churchura National Park. This park is one of Ethiopia's hidden treasures, known for its diverse and rich wildlife. Its varied landscape, featuring hilly terrains, valleys, gorges, and numerous rivers and streams, creates a unique animal habitat. Among the species you might encounter are African elephants, hippopotamuses, Cape buffaloes, lions, leopards and various bird species, including trogons and turacos.

Lake Bulo Excursion and Continued Wildlife Viewing

After breakfast, you will begin a guided walk to Lake Bulo, accompanied by local guides and scouts. This excursion provides a chance to observe the park's abundant wildlife, including African elephants, hippopotamuses, Cape buffaloes, and, if you are fortunate, lions and leopards. The diverse ecosystem surrounding the lake makes it an ideal location for wildlife viewing and birdwatching.

Return to Jima and to AdisAbaba

After a final breakfast at the camp, you will return to Jimma for your return to Addis Ababa. Upon your arrival in Addis Ababa, your tour will conclude.
