A Mara Wanderlust representative will meet you on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and assist with your transfer to Wilson Airport for your scenic flight to the Masai Mara. You’ll land at Serena Airstrip, the closest airstrip to Mara Engai Lodge, where your safari guide will be waiting.

From there, enjoy a game drive transfer through the Mara Triangle as you make your way to the lodge perched on the Oloololo Escarpment. After lunch and some time to relax, head out for your first afternoon game drive at 4:00 pm—tracking elephants, big cats, and other wildlife across this exclusive corner of the reserve. Cap off the day with a sundowner under an acacia tree before returning for dinner and stories by the fire.

Rise early for coffee or tea before heading out on a morning game drive. Feel the cool breeze as the sun rises and the bush awakens—lions returning from a night’s hunt, elephants grazing in the golden light, and birds filling the air with song. After the drive, return to camp for breakfast and spend the late morning relaxing, swimming, or simply soaking in the views of the Mara plains.

Following lunch and a bit of rest, embark on an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five. The warm, low light of late afternoon is ideal for spotting wildlife and capturing stunning photographs of the rolling savannah.

Alternatively, you may choose to depart after breakfast with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. Track the movements of the Great Migration (seasonal) as wildebeest and zebras brave the crocodile-filled Mara River. Return to camp at sunset, where a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay await.
