Day 1

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an Evening Game Drive in the Kasenyi Plains

After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked by an Otter African Safaris guide and start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese in Western Uganda through the tea plantations and rolling hills to reach Fort portal town. While in Fort portal you will have an en-route lunch and continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth national Park. You will
arrive at the lodge later the day and check in at the lodge.

In the evening, you will head out for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will have a chance to see animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, waterbucks, among others and many bird species for the bird lovers. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6am to the rolling plains of Uganda’s second largest National Park and look out for: lions, leopards, Elephants, buffaloes, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda Kobs, Hyenas, and Hippos. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to sight too during the drive. Return to the lodge for some rest time and lunch.

After lunch at the lodge, you will go for a 2-hour boat cruise trip on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes George and Edward and you will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, buffaloes, elephants and crocodiles among others. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. You will arrive at the lodge where you will have lunch and thereafter you will check in and relax at the lodge.

You will then head out for a Batwa Cultural Experience in the evening where you will see how the Batwa pygmies lived in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You will experience how they lived in the wild like how they were hunting for food, how to make fire and many others. Overnight stay and dinner at the lodge.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters at 7:30am for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla tracking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity. You may need to hire a porter to assist you during tracking and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them and this is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour. Return to the lodge after tracking and freshen up.

In the evening, Batwa pygmies will be invited to entertain you with their dances, storytelling after you have dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

After your morning breakfast you will exit the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and set off to Kampala or Entebbe International Park. Along the way you will have a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos and the famous water experiment that shows that earth is separated into the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and you will have a
chance to enjoy both the hemispheres. You will have an en-route lunch and you will continue your journey to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. Don't forget to buy a souvenir for remembrance for the beautiful primates safari you have had in Uganda.
