Transfer from Entebbe/Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

The moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived: this is when your Ugandan safari begins. After a few brief formalities and an introduction to your guide, we'll start this journey together and begin to discover all of the amazing animals Uganda has to offer.

Protecting 95 mammal and 610 bird species, more than any other location in Uganda, Queen Elizabeth National Park ranks among Africa's most biodiverse safari destinations. Lions prey on the antelopes that graze the grassy plains. Hippos and elephants are prolific around the larger lakes and waterways. Salt-encrusted crater lakes provide a seasonal feeding ground to flamingos and other wading birds. There are also large tracts of rainforest inhabited by chimpanzees, giant forest hogs and various monkeys.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Protecting a pristine landscape of steep forested hills bordering the Congo, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is best known for harbouring around 45% of the global mountain gorilla population. In our experience, visiting these gorillas in their forested home is quite simply the most exciting wildlife encounter Africa has to offer. But this biodiverse Unesco World Heritage Site provides you with an opportunity to look for plenty of other rare wildlife, ranging from acrobatic troops of Rwenzori colobus to the multicoloured Rwenzori three-horned chameleon and 20-odd bird species unique to the forests of the Albertine Rift Valley.
