Nairobi to Lewa Downs

Our safari adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel or Nairobi's Wilson Airport. After a quick transfer, you'll board a scheduled flight to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The flight takes around 45 minutes, and you’ll be treated to breathtaking aerial views of Kenya's diverse landscapes, from sprawling savannahs to majestic hills and valleys.

Upon arrival at Lewa Downs, a lodge representative will meet you and take you to Sirikoi Lodge. The lodge is beautifully set within the conservancy, offering a serene atmosphere that allows you to immerse yourself in nature. The lodge is renowned for its rustic charm, luxurious tented accommodations, and its commitment to sustainability and conservation.

Lewa Conservancy

Start your day with an early morning game drive, when the wildlife is most active. The early morning hours are a great time to observe animals in their natural habitats, and the cooler temperatures make for more comfortable viewing. On this game drive, you might have the opportunity to see predators in action, such as lions hunting or cheetahs sprinting across the plains.

After returning to the lodge, you’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast, served in the open-air dining area with stunning views of the surrounding conservancy. The rest of the morning is free for optional activities. You can choose to visit the Ol Pejeta Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which is home to rescued chimpanzees from illegal pet trades. The sanctuary provides a rare opportunity to observe chimpanzees and learn about conservation efforts for these remarkable primates.

Lewa Conservancy to Nairobi

On your final day at Sirikoi Lodge, you’ll enjoy an early morning game drive. This drive will be your last opportunity to catch sight of wildlife before you leave the conservancy. The early morning hours are ideal for spotting nocturnal animals returning to their daytime hideouts, as well as other creatures that are active during the cooler parts of the day.

After the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast, where you can savor a delicious meal before checking out. You’ll then be transferred back to the Lewa Downs for your return flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. As you fly back to the city, you’ll be able to reflect on your unforgettable safari experience.
