Wake up early to savor a hearty breakfast before heading out for a thrilling boat cruise on Lake Mburo. This serene body of water is home to a variety of aquatic wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.

As you glide across the lake, keep your eyes peeled for African Fish Eagles diving into the water for their morning catch, as well as elegant herons and kingfishers perched on the shores. The tranquil environment allows for fantastic photography opportunities, making this a highlight of your safari.

After your boat cruise, you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest national park, which is approximately a five-hour drive. As you journey southward, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the rolling hills and valleys that characterize this part of Uganda.

Your day begins with an early breakfast, after which you will set out on a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is famed for its diverse wildlife and landscapes, which include savannahs, wetlands, and volcanic craters.

During this thrilling game drive, expect to encounter four of Africa’s Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes. Keep your camera ready as you search for other magnificent wildlife species, including jackals, Jackson’s hartebeests, and the rare tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of the park.

After an exhilarating morning in the wild, return to your lodge for a lunch break before heading out for an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. This waterway is renowned for having the largest concentration of hippos in Uganda, making it a unique spot for wildlife viewing.

As you drift along the channel, observe the various bird species that inhabit the area, including pelicans, kingfishers, and the majestic African Fish Eagle.
