After early breakfast in Karatu the journey begins toward Naabi Hill Gate, which marks the boundary between Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After the gate, you enter rolling grasslands known as the Short Grass Plains, often dotted with herds of gazelle and wildebeest depending on the season. As you climb toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, the landscape transforms dramatically—cooler temperatures, lush forests, and sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa, a place where you can find otherworldly beauty with extraodinary wildlife.
