Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Your day begins with an early morning private departure from Arusha, traveling in your exclusive safari vehicle on a scenic 3–4 hour drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After completing park formalities, you will ascend to your private camp or lodge, ideally positioned with breathtaking views of the crater. Following lunch, you will enjoy an exclusive afternoon game drive descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural wonders and home to an abundance of diverse wildlife. As the day comes to an end, you will return to your accommodation on or near the crater rim for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the unforgettable wildlife encounters of the day.

Cultural Encounter & Departure

On the second day, you will typically have an early breakfast. The morning activity can vary depending on the specific tour and your interests. Some itineraries include another early game drive, either descending back into the crater for more wildlife viewing opportunities, particularly to search for animals you may have missed the previous day or exploring the wider conservation area.
After the morning activity, you will return to your lodge for brunch or check out. You will then begin the drive back to Arusha The return journey reaches Arusha in the afternoon. Depending on your subsequent plans, your driver can drop you off at your hotel or the airport marking the end of your 2-day Ngorongoro safari.
