The park is home to diverse animals like impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but the migration is the true highlight. Each year, 1.5 million wildebeest, 250,000 zebras, and 500,000 antelope journey across the plains in search of rain-nourished grasses. At around 14:00, we’ll head back to Karatu and check into Lilac Hideaway, a comfortable mid-range lodge.
