Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel or apartment and driven to Tarangire National Park for an exceptional game-viewing experience. Though relatively small, Tarangire offers stunning scenery and abundant wildlife, especially during the Dry season, when animals and birds gather around the Tarangire River, the park's lifeline. This is one of the best places in Tanzania to see large herds of elephants, earning Tarangire its nickname, “The Land of Elephants.”

In the late afternoon, you will drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater and Departure

After breakfast at your lodge, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into its vast, wildlife-rich floor. The steep crater walls create a natural sanctuary for a wide variety of animals, offering excellent chances to see lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and—if you are lucky—even leopards. Interestingly, giraffes are absent here, as their long legs make it difficult to navigate the crater's steep slopes. You will enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the hippo pool, surrounded by the beauty of this unique ecosystem.

In the late afternoon, you will ascend the crater walls and return to Arusha, where you will be dropped off, marking the end of your safari adventure.
