This morning calls for an early start, as you descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater shortly after sunrise. At the crater floor, a self-contained ecosystem awaits, where wildlife thrives against the backdrop of a prehistoric volcanic basin. The drive across the crater is a dreamlike experience—zebras and gazelles graze undisturbed, hippos wallow in freshwater pools, and elephants lumber gracefully through the Lerai forest.
