Your adventure begins as your guide picks you up in Nairobi and sets off for Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s oldest and one of the largest protected areas in the country. Arriving just after midday, you'll enjoy lunch and settle in before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Keep your eyes open for the famous red-dust elephants, lions, buffaloes, and graceful giraffes roaming the arid plains.

Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire

As the sun rises over the rugged Tanzanian landscape, you begin your day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a full-day exploration of Tarangire National Park. Known as the land of giants, Tarangire is home to enormous baobab trees and some of the largest elephant herds in East Africa. The game drive winds along the life-giving Tarangire River, where animals gather in large numbers to quench their thirst during the Dry season. Zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and waterbucks graze across the plains, while lions often lurk in the tall grass nearby. You may choose to break the day with a picnic lunch under a shady baobab or return to your lodge for a freshly prepared meal.

After an early breakfast, you set out for a full-day game drive through the sweeping savannahs, following the trails of the Mara’s famed inhabitants. The day unfolds across different sectors of the reserve, from the Mara River with its crocodiles and hippos to the rolling hills of the eastern Mara, where cheetahs stalk prey across the open plains.

During the migration season, the plains are alive with the drama of wildebeest and zebra crossings, while scavengers circle above in anticipation.
