Day 1

After an early breakfast, your guide will brief you about your upcoming three-day safari. You will then depart from your hotel and begin the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, you will pass through Luwero town and stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Upon arrival, you will meet the site guide for a briefing before heading into the bush to track the rhinos. The tracking will take approximately three hours. After lunch, you will continue to Masindi town.
Next, you will visit the top of the falls, which offers spectacular views of parts of the park and Murchison Falls. You can take photos before proceeding to the lodge for check-in, relaxation, and your overnight stay.

Day 2

Wake up early, have breakfast, and set off by 6:00 am for a game drive. The drive offers chances to see early risers and big cats in action before they retire to their shelters. Other animals you may see include Lake Chad buffaloes, African elephants, Lelwel’s hartebeest, Nubian giraffes, oribis, and others. Common bird species include the goliath heron, african skimmer, and red-throated bee-eater.
Shortly after lunch, you’ll head out for a launch cruise on the Nile to the bottom of the falls. This water safari will expose you to schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking by the riverside, various bird species, and other wildlife drinking at the shores. Depending on your energy levels, you can either return to the lodge for relaxation or continue with a short game drive.

Day 3

Wake up and have breakfast at your leisure. Shortly after, you’ll check out from the lodge and head to the Budongo Forest headquarters before transferring to the trekking starting point. Begin your trek, where you’ll have the chance to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat—learning about their behaviors, watching them feed, and seeing juveniles jump from one tree branch to the next while communicating with each other. During the chimpanzee trek, you can also spot various colorful bird species.
After this thrilling experience, continue your journey to Kampala, which will take approximately six hours. You will have lunch in either Masindi town or Luwero before proceeding to Kampala.
