Depart from Arusha in the morning and head southwest toward Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem famous for its large elephant herds and dramatic landscapes. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park’s rolling savannah, observing a variety of wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your drive to Karatu, a charming town near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll spend the night.
