1-Day Akagera Wildlife Safari Tour

Your day starts early with a 5:30 AM pickup from your hotel in Kigali. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Rwandan countryside as you head to Akagera National Park, arriving at the southern gate around 8:00 AM.

After park registration, begin your full-day game drive through the diverse landscapes of the park, guided by a professional safari driver-guide. Drive along the southern, central, and northern circuits for the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, warthogs, and, if lucky, lions or rhinos.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park at one of the designated sites, taking in the tranquil views of the savannah or one of the park’s beautiful lakes.

Continue the game drive toward the northern exit, where animal sightings are often most concentrated, then start the journey back to Kigali in the late afternoon. Expect to arrive in the city by early evening, with drop-off at your hotel or residence.
