Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
A game drive in Ngorongoro Crater is a truly unique safari experience. Formed from a collapsed volcano millions of years ago, the crater is now one of the most wildlife-rich areas on Earth and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It spans about 260 square kilometers and is enclosed by steep walls, creating a natural sanctuary for a wide variety of animals. After an early morning descent from the crater rim, you’ll find yourself in a lush, self-contained ecosystem that’s home to around 25,000 large animals. Because the wildlife rarely migrates out of the crater, the chances of spotting game are exceptionally high.
After a game drive on the crater rim, you'll head to Arusha.
