As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal guide will greet you with a big smile: “Karibu Tanzania — welcome to Tanzania!” From here you will be transferred straight to your hotel, where you can relax and soak in the African atmosphere. The next day, your guide will lead you on an exclusive private safari, allowing you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and the freedom to stop and watch the animals as long as you like.

Day 2

Depart early at 7:00 am from your accommodations and embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes, Tarangire offers a unique safari experience. Upon arrival, begin your game drive in search of iconic African wildlife such as elephants, lions, zebras, and giraffes. The park is also famous for its large herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees. Besides elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers, especially around the swampy areas.

Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Afterward, continue your game drive, exploring different sections of the park. Your knowledgeable guide will share insights into the park’s ecosystem, wildlife behavior, and conservation efforts. As the day draws to a close, drive back to your accommodation, taking in the last glimpses of Tarangire’s breathtaking scenery.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara National Park

Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara National Park

You will depart the lodge at around 7:15 am and head to Lake Manyara National Park.

The park features alkaline water that is home to several bird species, including greater and lesser pink flamingos feeding on algae in the lake, pelicans, yellow-billed storks, and gray herons. The surrounding marshland, grassland plains, and acacia woodland provide grazing grounds for buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and antelopes.

After an exciting morning on land, you will enjoy a peaceful canoe ride on Lake Manyara. Glide past hippos and buffaloes that may be grazing at the water’s edge, and marvel at flocks of flamingos wading in the shallows or soaring above. The backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment and stunning views of the lake’s vast expanse make for a memorable experience.

After your tour around the beautiful lake and the amazing groundwater forest, you will be transferred to your lodge where a delicious dinner awaits.

After breakfast, you will begin your drive to the Ngorongoro Crater to explore this amazing park. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can experience a breathtaking blend of scenery and wildlife, along with fascinating historical and cultural elements. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world but also one of the new “Seven Natural Wonders” of Africa.

After your morning game drive, you will take a break to enjoy your packed lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site. Then you will continue with your afternoon game drive before ascending from the crater rim.

Later you will be transferred to your accommodations for dinner and your overnight stay.
