As you ascend the Ngorongoro highlands, you’ll make a quick stop at the crater rim to take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the Ngorongoro Crater—an unforgettable sight, especially for first-time visitors.

Continuing onward, you’ll enter the vast Serengeti plains, whose name means “endless plains” in the local Maasai language. Spanning 18,000 sq km (6,900 sq miles), this incredible landscape stretches to the horizon and is home to the legendary Great Migration, where over 2 million wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes roam.

Ngorongoro to Arusha

Begin the day early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable morning game drive in one of the most breathtaking wildlife havens on Earth.

Enjoy a picnic lunch by the scenic Hippo Lake, surrounded by rich wildlife and natural beauty. After lunch, you'll have time for a short final game drive before ascending the crater walls and beginning your journey back to Arusha.

Expect to arrive in Arusha around 5:30 p.m., with incredible memories of your safari adventure.
